Shirt Business?

Having ventured into design in polytechnic and during my time designing bottle sleeves for Miracle Drink Bar ↗, I decided to try my hand at creating shirt designs to sell.

After coming up with a few designs, I launched an Instagram page to sell pre-orders, hoping to gather the necessary funds to produce the shirts. I considered ordering a small batch to have stock ready for sales, but after some cost analysis, I realized it wasn't worth it unless my marketing could attract a large number of interested buyers.

My designs were also quite quirky and might not appeal to the masses. You can check them out here ↗. I decided to pause this venture until 2023. In 2023, I decided to revisit the idea with a different name and business model. This time, I opted for a print-on-demand business using Shopify and Printify. However, after having the website up for three months, I realized it's challenging to compete in this market without a compelling story or truly unique designs.

I also considered creating anime designs, knowing they are popular and would attract customers, but I was concerned about copyright infringement. After three months, I decided to stop this venture due to my lack of background research and instead focused on exploring other opportunities.
